Enjoying a classic cocktail just got easier, thanks to a fun and functional new closure on The Glenlivet Twist & Mix Cocktails, a line of ready-to-serve, whisky cocktails.

Sitting atop a sleek package designed by JDO is a patented closure from Vessl Inc. that completely eliminates cocktail mixing guesswork — when the cap is twisted, a precise blend of pressurized cocktail flavorings is released directly into the bottle of The Glenlivet Speyside single malt scotch whisky. At-home mixologists need only twist the cap, watch it mix, and pour over ice to share and enjoy, there’s no fuss and no muss.

It's a first-of-a-kind innovation for both the scotch and broader spirits category.

“The launch of The Glenlivet Twist & Mix Cocktails is the latest example of The Glenlivet leading the category in modernizing single malt scotch whisky,” says Johan Radojewski, vice president marketing - Scotch, Irish & Prestige Whisk(e)y, Pernod Ricard USA. “With this new innovative product, we are inspiring people to enjoy single malt scotch whisky on more occasions and providing a solution to meet consumer demand for high quality, freshly mixed cocktails that are easy to serve and enjoy with friends and family.”

Walter D. Apodaca, Jr., founder and CEO of Vessl, was impressed with how Glenlivet adopted the closure technology to create a new experience for at-home cocktail aficionados.

“This is exactly the kind of forward-thinking use of our technology that we envisioned, and tastes even better than we imagined,” he adds.

The Glenlivet Twist & Mix Cocktails currently spans two of the most popular whisky cocktails, the Old Fashioned and New Manhattan, giving imbibers the opportunity to serve a premium, crafted drink experience without the hassle of leftover ingredients, complex recipes or bar equipment.

The Old Fashioned’s flavor profile remains true to the classic with a blend of orange, nutmeg and cinnamon tasting notes, while The New Manhattan features refreshing notes of cherry and ginger.

The Glenlivet is owned by Pernod Ricard USA, a subsidiary of Pernod Ricard SA.
