Bartenders in dimly lit night spots know the struggle — a low light setting makes locating the right bottle to craft a mixed drink exceedingly tough.

Enter UV-reactive, glow-in-the-dark drink labels.

“Alive by Night” is a series of five labels that look like ordinary labels in standard light but spring magically to life when exposed to UV light. The labels, showcased in the video, hinge on a line of fluorescent foils from Foilco. Available in five colors, the foils can be used singularly or in combination to create intricate works of art. When used in conjunction with overprinting they can also deliver the mind-boggling clever illusion of translucency.

The “Alive by Night” labels were created using the Foilco foils to spotlight vividly compelling artwork from Graphic Brands. Each label was printed and hot foil stamped by Reflex Label+ on Avery Dennison Fasson Matt Wine labels using dies made by Dreyer Kliche.
