Grownups now have a new way to enjoy old-fashioned candy favorites, like red fish and root beer barrels, with the launch of Michigan-based Hard Luck Candy Flavored Vodkas.

Hard Luck Candy Flavored Vodka was born at the Hard Luck Lounge in Grosse Pointe Park, Mich. It originated as a special candy-flavored infused vodka and was so successful at the bar, founders Mike Mouyianis, Chris George and Rob Nicholl thought it should be available everywhere. After two years in development, Hard Luck Candy Flavored Vodka is now ready to launch its Red Fish and Root Beer Barrel flavors with plans for other flavors which are currently in development.

“Hard Luck Candy Flavored Vodka took years in the making to get the flavors just right, as well as the packaging and distribution and we’re so excited to launch this new hometown brand right here in Michigan with our ultimate goal of taking Hard Luck Vodkas national,” said Mouyianis.

Unlike other infused vodkas, Hard Luck Candy tastes like the flavor on the bottle with a hint of vodka, not the other way around. Thus creating a smoother more drinkable product with a wide variety of uses from chilled straight up, to mixed drinks and martinis, as well dessert drinks and has even been used in BBQ sauces and marinades.

Hard Luck Candy Vodka, bottled in Temperance, Mich., is distilled from grain through a three tower distillation process and is 70 proof (35% ALC/VOL). It is available at retail liquor stores and sold in bars and pubs throughout Michigan. Hard Luck Candy Flavored Vodka is distributed by General Wine & Liquor.
