6 New Cannabis Packages Ensure Child Safety

Protecting children from cannabis products is essential. State regulations dictate it, and so does common sense. Recent cannabis pack designs offer ideas on how to make nearly any package structure safe for kids.

In states where cannabis has been legalized, cannabis product types and package formats continue to multiply. Gummies, mints, vape cartridges, flower, beverages, and pre-rolls are filled into all kinds of different packages. But one thing is the same for all — the need for child-resistant (CR) package design.

Here are six recent examples of CR designs suited to cannabis package structures ranging from pouches to aluminum cans. Some of these CR packs are on the market already, and others will be commercialized soon.
