Packaging to a Latin beat

Recognized as the largest packaging machinery and materials trade show in Mexico, Expo Pack Mexico opens this month at Expo Sante Fe, a new facility for the show. Also running concurrently is Procesa, a food and beverage processing

machinery and equipment show for Mexican end-user markets.

The '01 show drew 345 exhibitors from the U.S. and several other nations. Another 360 exhibitors from Mexico brought the total to 705.

Seventy-three members of the Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute will exhibit at Expo Pack, 54 of them within the PMMI Pavilion. PMMI will be offering match-making services through its Mexico office, helping member companies find representation in Mexico. It will also be distributing the '02-'03 directory and its PMMI in Mexico directory.

PMMI also will be hosting a three-day technical seminar, Soluciones 2002, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., focusing on food, beverage and pharmaceutical markets.
