The co. applies the grind-and-hone sharpening process used in the manufacturing of surgical scalpel blades to its new line of serrated, toothed knives for food-packaging operations. The result is said to be a superior level of sharpness, enhanced tip strength and improved cuts compared to competitive toothed knives, minimizing edge tears, stretching and incomplete or partial cuts. Wear-resistance is also improved, says the co. The blades are available in a variety of shapes, sizes and materials, including razor-blade-quality stainless steel.
