The winners of this year’s third annual Designalytics Effectiveness Awards make the relationship between packaging graphics and business success undeniably clear, particularly for food packaging.

Hundreds of applicants vied for the 2022 awards. Nine winners, ranging from iconic brands like Hershey’s to ambitious young brands, ultimately emerged. Each redesign launched in the US between July 2019 and 2021.

Although package design is the crux of the Designalytics competition, the awards program is not about “pretty” packaging. Judging is 100% data-driven, with sales performance a key consideration and quantitative consumer testing performed for each redesign.

Designalytics launched the competition in 2020 together with Dieline. Brand owners can submit entries for the 2023 Designalytics Effectiveness Awards here.
