As I wandered the aisle of Target that December day what to my surprise should appear, but delightful cookie tins on holiday display.

It was immediately apparent they were designed and decorated with charming details. Beyond that and after closer inspection, several of the tins were found to have interactive features that could best be described as inspired and enlightening.

For example, one plays music...and doesn't need batteries. And another has a built-in projector.

The imported tins come by way of M&S (Marks & Spencer) in Ireland. A little research revealed they were available last holiday season in the UK where they were warmly welcomed.

A selection of the tins, which house — literally a house in some instances — cookies, cocoa mix, or chocolates, are featured in this heartwarming slideshow. They are best viewed from a cozy location with a cup ‘o hot chocolate.
