This line of food display and preservation containers is made from bulrush and other plant fibers. Intended to replace the EPS containers normally found in meat, poultry and seafood departments, the products include trays, containers and portion cups made from plant fibers that will compost in 30 to90 days in both home and municipal composting environments. According to the company, the trays offer a high degree of aesthetic appeal and perform better than EPS equivalents. Each of the containers is safe to use in the freezer, microwave or oven, and they reportedly can hold water or hot foods without failure. A wide range of sizes and configurations are offered.
