Woodford Reserve

Woodford Reserve is a brand of premium small-batch bourbon whiskey produced by the Brown-Forman Corp. Bottled at 92.4 proof, it is the only bourbon distilled in copper pot stills. To create packaging as unique as the bourbon's distillation process and to help with the major elements of its unique package design, Brown-Forman Corp. initially enlisted the design services and global resources of Saxco Intl. Inc.

Coinciding with the copper pot still theme, Saxco sourced and supplied a 750-mL flint bottle from O-I Europe that mimics a copper pot still. The distinctive bottle features round shoulders and a bulb-shaped neck. Working with Woodford Reserve Distillery, Saxco helped create and produce attractive white, black and copper labels through Heinrich Ceramic Decal Inc. The labels were fired on the front and back of the bottle by Custom Deco LLC. In addition, Saxco provided a rich brown wooden-top cork stopper with a special copper medallion inset by long-time Portuguese vendor J.C. Ribeiro S.A.
