Rotary encoders

The co.'s new Model ECI 1116 absolute single-turn encoder with 16-bit resolution and ECI 1128 absolute multi-turn encoder with 28-bit resolution both feature a 38-mm OD with lengths less than 28 mm. Both are inductive and are reportedly made without integral bearings. The encoders are put forward as challenging resolvers for simpler commissioning, electronic ID label and diagnostic functions. The encoders are said to be mechanically compatible with the optical variant, the co.'s established ECN/EQN 1100 Series.
