Orion Packaging Systems is touting pallet-wrapping innovations the equipment manufacturer says can help customers save money by increasing yields and uptime, and by reducing maintenance and labor.

The recently debuted S-Carriage InstaThread pre-stretch film carriage is one such product. The S-Carriage can speed wrapping, boost film yields, and cut waste thanks to a pair of pre-stretched rollers around which film travels in an “S” pattern. The new design can help slash neckdown by an inch and more than doubles pre-stretch at different tensions. Compatible with all of Orion’s stretch wrapping products, the S-Carriage improves film yields by about 14%, saving customers around $100 per month, according to the company.

“…[i]t reduces film acquisition costs for shippers and improves end-user sustainability through less waste,” Orion said in a press release.

Orion Packaging Systems exhibit this new product at Pack Expo Las Vegas 2021 (Las Vegas; September 27-29), Booth C-3229.
