Brewer’s beer-can multipacks move to paperboard cartons eliminates 109 tons of plastic yearly.

February 4, 2021

As of February 1, the brewer replaced printed plastic shrink wrap used to package its beer cans with Graphic Packaging Intl.’s rounded-corner paperboard cartons for 6-and 12-packs of cans.

The move, which saves 99 tonnes/109 tons of plastic a year, reflects an ongoing sustainably-driven plastic-to-paper conversion seen across the beverage market.
