Ruggles lowfat frozen Greek yogurt
Dairy Enterprises Inc. announced today that it has expanded its Ruggles line to include Lowfat Greek Frozen Yogurt, with six exciting flavors available in pints and single-serve 4-ounce containers. Original Tart, Vanilla Bean, Peach, Honey, Blueberry, and Strawberry Ruggles Lowfat Greek frozen yogurts are now available to retailers across the region.
"Greek yogurt has been one of the most exciting trends in the dairy case," says Penny Baker, Director of Marketing for Ruggles. "Our new product is sure to appeal to families who are more health-conscious and have driven the steady gains in the traditional yogurt market. Greek frozen yogurt is a really exciting 'better for you' frozen dairy dessert option that is already gaining popularity in part due to the self-serve frozen yogurt shop craze."
Ruggles Lowfat Greek Frozen Yogurt is all natural, and has at least two times the protein of regular frozen yogurt. It has no preservatives, artificial flavors, or artificial colors, and has live and active cultures for digestive health. Ruggles Lowfat Greek Frozen Yogurt is naturally low in fat, and is gluten-free, low in sodium, and a good source of calcium. The new Ruggles product has no high fructose corn syrup and is Kosher-approved
The six introductory flavors of Ruggles Lowfat Greek Frozen Yogurt are inspired by top-selling Greek yogurt flavors found in the refrigerated yogurt case and have a tartness similar to refrigerated Greek yogurt. Vanilla Bean and Original Tart both offer extra retail sales potential for favorite toppings such as fresh fruits and granola.
Each of the six new flavors of Ruggles Lowfat Greek Frozen Yogurt will be available in pint size with a suggested retail price (SRP) of $4.99, and single-serving 4-ounce cups at a suggested retail price of $1.49. Each single-serving cup also includes a spoon for customer convenience.
