Green by Design: 10 St. Patrick’s Day Packaging Examples
Who doesn’t appreciate a sampling of seasonal packaging? Today is St. Patrick’s Day and that means a decidedly green scheme.

March 17th is a day celebrated as St. Patrick’s Day by residents of Canada, Ireland, Montserrat, United Kingdom, and United States, according to timeanddate.com.
And it’s celebrated by all those who, for at least one day, declare themselves Irish at heart.
Lacking the usual public festivities associated with the day of Irish-inspired merriment, we’ve assembled a virtual packaging party with a line-up of like-minded packaging designs drawn from press releases and Twitter.
We hope they’ll bring you good luck.
Launched in time for St. Patrick’s Day, Mars Wrigley’s two new flavors to the M&M'S Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich lineup include one boasting a refreshing mint-flavor ice cream between two chocolate cookies with Milk Chocolate M&M'S Minis.
"We're excited to expand the joy of M&M'S colorworks to the Mars Wrigley ice cream line, starting with a minty green treat for St. Patrick's Day," says Jayesh Shah, Mars Ice Cream Marketing Director. "These new flavors add even more options alongside our fan-favorite M&M'S Vanilla and Chocolate Cookie Sandwiches – offering a fun and enjoyable treat for any occasion."
The two new flavors were made available in new, redesigned packs of 4 (16 oz) beginning in early March.
Cannabis chocolate with an Irish twist.
High Life Farms released its latest award-winning “Royal Chocolate Bar” in a new flavor fit for the day celebrated in green: Royal Chocolate Bar Mint Cookies & Cream. The limited-edition variety combines delicious white chocolate, refreshing mint, cream-filled chocolate sandwich cookie crunchies and 100mg of THC in 20, five-milligram pieces for a smooth and crunchy textured treat.
It’s the third in the brand’s seasonal twists that started with a Royal Chocolate Bar in a pumpkin-spiced latte flavor last fall followed by a white chocolate sugar cookie variety named "Sleigh Ride" for the winter and then a red velvet edition for Valentine's Day.
"The response to the themed bars has been extremely positive," said Ben Celani, High Life Farms co-founder.
Yes, it really is a thing.
With a little poetic license, we include Budweiser’s green call to action.
And yet more beer on this day.
An authority is wowed so we should be, too.
