A new, credit-card-sized, aluminum-based high-frequency (HF) inlay is introduced into the RFID market, with its manufacturer saying it is ideally suited for security and asset-tracking applications. The new inlay, the V730S-D13-PO1, is said to be compliant with the ISO15693 HF standard for 13.56-mHz frequency, and achieves comparable performance with the copper version of the same-size inlay, which the co. says it will continue to produce. The co. also cites environmental concerns about the disposal of copper waste.
