WeighPack Systems, Inc. hires Michael Scioli and Bill Jones as salesmen. Scioli will handle southern CA and the midwesternern U.S., while Jones will handle eastern Canada and the northeast

U.S. WeighPack also hires Ramin Kermani as engineering and order-processing manager.

ColorMatrix Group, Inc. appoints V. Gerry Corrigan as president and CEO. Corrigan began his career with ColorMatrix in 2003 as COO, responsible for its manufacturing operations, as well as sales and earnings for the Americas.

Hunkar Packaging, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Hunkar Technologies Inc., acquires Joseph Labeling Systems, LLC.

TNA and Kiremko announce a strategic alliance to provide turnkey integrated solutions for complete packaging and processing for the potato snackfood industry.

Rock-Tenn Co. acquires the remaining 40-percent minority interest in GSD Packaging, LLC that it did not own, for $32 million, giving Rock-Tenn sole ownership of the company.

Econocorp, Inc. is now a stocking distributor for National Starch and Chemical's "COOL-LOK" adhesive products.


Bell-Mark Corp. is proceeding with all projects as planned, following a fire that occurred on of April 12 at the company's Dover, PA, facilities. The company's main manufacturing building remains undamaged and all critical business data is co-located off-site. The fire only affected a building that is used primarily for assembly and administrative purposes, and fortunately no one was seriously injured.


The Inst. of Packaging Professionals and the Italian Trade Commission announce the winners of the Italian Packaging Technology Awards program, which are sponsored by the Italian Trade Commission and UCIMA and is coordinated by IoPP as part of its educational program.
