Children's AccuDial has been named a 2011 Edison Awards winner. Children's AccuDial, a product line of AccuDial Pharmaceutical, Inc., won gold in the Consumer Packaged Goods category, one of 12 categories honored by the Edison Awards. AccuDial Pharmaceutical, Inc.'s corporate headquarters is in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.

Children's AccuDial features a revolutionary, two‐part, patented label system. As the consumer rotates the top label to display the child's weight, dosing information is revealed from the inner label. A caregiver then pours the liquid into the calibrated dosing device (included in the medicine package) to the exact measurement, and the child receives the correct dose of medication. No second guessing; it's all medical science!

"Winning an Edison Award is both humbling and exciting for AccuDial Pharmaceutical," states CEO and chairman of AccuDial Pharmaceutical, Inc., Robert Terwilliger. "We were driven to create a product to solve dosing errors of over‐the‐counter medications for children. We found that by leveraging innovative technology, AccuDial's labeling system is able to meet both a functional and emotional need in consumers that resonates in the market."

The distinguished Edison Awards symbolize the persistence and excellence personified by Thomas Alva Edison, inspiring America's drive to remain in the forefront of innovation, creativity, and ingenuity in the global economy.

"More than any year, this year's award winners demonstrate the enormous value of teamwork, experimentation, consumer focus, and market awareness," said Tom Stat, co‐founder of Edison Universe. "These honored award winners show that by stimulating our natural curiosity, fueling our drive for discovery, and sparking our need to innovate, no challenge is too big and opportunities abound. Edison himself would be very, very proud."

The nominees for the Edison Best New Product Award were judged by roughly 2,000 members of the not‐for‐profit Marketing Executives Networking Group (MENG), an organization comprising America's top marketing professionals and academics. They were also judged on Marketplace Innovation, Marketplace Success, Technological Innovation, Market Structure Innovation, Societal Impact, and Design Innovation.

The Edison Awards Steering Committee is comprised of senior executives with diverse marketing, scientific, and business backgrounds who monitor the development and successful launch of innovative products each year. The committee bestows the annual Edison Achievement Awards and develops the list of nominees that is presented to the Edison Best New Product Award judges.

The 2011 Edison Awards were sponsored by The Nielsen Company, Discovery Channel, Science Channel, Spencer Trask, and USA Today. The Edison Awards are granted under the aegis of the Thomas A. Edison Papers at Rutgers University, a globally recognized research network dedicated to the study of innovation and its application in the 21st century.
