Capitalizing on increased consumer interest in ready-to-drink premium iced teas, RC Cola Intl. is launching a next-generation “tea time” for Eastern European consumers with its Orient Emporium Tea Co.'s 25-cL (8.45-oz) slim cans. The intricate Asian-inspired designs have been brought to vivid life with high-quality print technology from Crown Bevcan Europe and Middle East, a business unit of Crown Holdings, Inc. (www.crowncork.com).

Form following function is crucial in communicating the health benefits in two flavors: antioxidant-rich Green Tea and Pomegranate, and refreshing Black Tea and Peach. The vibrant emerald and topaz jewel-toned cans are illustrated with imagery of dragonflies, bamboo shoots and chrysanthemums.

Says Caroline Archer-Reed, marketing director of Crown's beverage business in Europe, reproducing the fine designs of the brand called for advanced can-printing technology and special printing plates.
