Launched at Interpack 2011 in Düsseldorf, Germany, the new stainless steel conveyors follow the success with the X85 aluminum conveyors debuted in 2008. Engineered to meet continuously increasing demands on production efficiency, flexibility and cleaning within production facilities, the new stainless steel conveyors have been given the designations of X85X, X180X and X300X, which indicate the widths of the platforms--85, 180 and 300 mm respectively.

These widths, the company says, are particularly well suited for handling products in production and packaging lines within the fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) and healthcare industry segments. The stainless conveyor design is fully modular, from the individual component up to the complete conveyor. This enables easy and accurate assembly and easy modification of the conveyor configuration when there is a need to change the line layout. The modular design is also a driver for a high quality level. The new generation stainless conveyors are available in three versions: wash down, which is the standard and easy to clean; wipe off, the version with covered sides and no slots; and covered return chain, which is suited for applications with very high cleanliness requirements.
