Kobrick coffee rebranding

Kobrick Coffee Co., a 92-year-old artisanal roaster of coffee for many of New York City's finest restaurants, has rebranded to introduce itself to the general public. The company worked with award-winning brand design agency Sandstrom Partners on the new designs.

Sandstrom president Jack Peterson says, "The Kobrick family has been roasting coffee in small batches for four generations, selling it through some of the most respected chefs and five-star restaurants in New York without ever having a consumer-facing brand. Our assignment was to respect that heritage of proprietary quality while bringing the brand to a new, discerning coffee-drinking public."

Sandstrom produced a new identity for Kobrick along with packaging for more than 30 specialty blends, espressos and single-origin coffees. A line of signature cups was created to complement the line.

The 1-lb bag features a hand-applied blend label on the front panel; the brand story on the right gusset; the founder's signature on the left gusset; and notes on quality and brewing instructions on the back.
