Wyke Farms Launches New Design and Format with Re-Sealable Packaging

Article-Wyke Farms Launches New Design and Format with Re-Sealable Packaging

Wyke Farms , the UK's largest independent cheese producer and milk processor, today unveiled a new line of re-designed, re-sealable packaging for the company's range of award-winning farmhouse cheddar. The new packaging, which will be available in February, features a zip-lock seal for functionality as well as contemporary colored labels with a picturesque landscape of their Somerset farm.

"At Wyke Farms our number one priority is serving consumers the best cheddar possible, and re-sealable packaging is a modern approach for preserving the delicate flavor and texture of an otherwise traditional mature and vintage cheddar," said Richard Clothier, third generation family member & Managing Director, Wyke Farms.

Through consumer focus groups, Wyke Farms identified that shoppers actively seek out brands in re-sealable formats. As a result, the new packaging has been designed to preserve freshness and help consumers enjoy their cheddar longer. In terms of aesthetic stimulation, the range of bold colors and horizon landscape portrait were chosen to help the packaging stand out on the shelf and increase the products' overall in-store presence.

"We feel this change is a testament to Wyke Farms' unique ability to innovate without compromising on quality or the traditional values that have served our company so well over the past 100 years," added Clothier.
