EastPack exudes edutainment experiences
Fun, interactive sessions at the Center Stage are just one of many edutainment opportunities at EastPack 2015.

When you need to move your packaging projects from collaboration to coordination and into implementation, where can you find inspiration for your next great idea and meet your next supplier partners? Exhibits, presentations and networking opportunities at the upcoming EastPack show (June 9-11; New York City) offer a personal look at the latest manufacturing and packaging technologies.

EastPack is one of seven manufacturing-related events at the Javits Convention Center that attendees can also access with their EastPack badge: HBA Global Expo; Design & Manufacturing Atlantic; Automation Technology (ATX) East; Medical Design & Manufacturing (MD&M) East; Plastec East; and Quality Expo. You can gain free admission to all these co-located events by using the source code PASS when you register.

Another packaging-specific on-site event is Pharmapack North America, a two-day, high-intensity conference and meeting for pharmaceutical professionals. It will be held at the Javits Center’s River Pavilion, which provides an intimate space for private networking.

This year, experts from leading pharmaceutical manufacturers such as Pfizer, Sanofi and Eli Lilly and Co. will speak on issues of concern, including anti-counterfeiting, serialization, user-centered drug delivery and patient safety.

Not involved in the pharmaceutical industry? Other conferences as part of this mega-manufacturing event include more than 40 educational sessions that will explore today’s key manufacturing and packaging topics, including advances in robotics, 3D printing, hybrid manufacturing, Big Data and the Internet of Things. View the conference agenda to see all topics, speakers and times.

Register for any of the conferences by the end of this week, Fri., May 15, to get the early-bird price, which could save you up to $400.

Edutainment takes center stage

A myriad of other on-site learning and networking events give you plenty of opportunity to return to work with new actionable intelligence.

Center Stage: Our version of TedTalks, these presentations—free to registered show attendees and located in Booth 2279—range from entertaining keynotes and interactive demonstrations to lively panel discussions and peer-to-peer activities.

Innovation Tours: These 1-hour tours are guaranteed not to strand you on a deserted island! Topic experts from event sponsor UBM Canon will point out the newest technology, innovations and industry trends in the following areas: Advances in Robotics; 3D Printing; Digital Health: Wearables, Mobile and Data Management; and Innovation Challenge. While free to registered attendees, space on the Innovation Tours is limited to 20 people per tour, so arrive early to secure your spot. Tours depart from the Center Stage in Booth 2279.

Tech Theater: Presentations from supplier experts on new technologies and new products will be given in the Tech Theater in Booth 730. For example, Nelson Laboratories will explain how medical packaging professionals can navigate the recent standards, changes and challenges of ethylene oxide (EtO) sterilization.

Speed Networking: Similar to speed dating, this fun and free feature connects you with your peers. You get matched with other like-minded attendees based on your answers to the registration questionnaire. What you discuss is your business. Anyone who registers for the expo or conference can participate for free. Sign up here for Tuesday or Wednesday. Meetings take place at the Center Stage area in Booth 2279.

Hope to see you in the Big Apple!
