Sloped tops, rounded legs and easy access for cleaning help this horizontal wrapper raise the level of hygienic design, while also improving other user features.

From a cleanliness angle, the Rose Forgrove Merlin Blu stainless steel system from Hayssen Flexible Systems encourages debris to slide off its curvy surfaces, minimizing product build up and improving its sanitation. Additionally, no tools are needed to remove the infeed catch tray and the guarding.

The icon-based operator interface is one of several user-friendly features. The 5.7-inch color touchscreen helps make set ups and changeovers intuitive, repeatable and fast. With a single jaw, the machine produces 100 packs per minute. Twin jaws double that output.

Hayssen Flexible Systems will show this new system at SouthPack 2015 (Nov. 18-19; Orlando, FL) in Booth #905.
