CAPS launches container repair and cleaning services
Container and Pooling Solutions (CAPS) has expanded its container repair and cleaning services to include privately owned fleets. The expanded services are in response to a rapid influx of container repair requests, which CAPS attributes to companies looking to cut costs by extending the life of current resources and eliminating the need for capital required to purchase new assets. The services are in addition to the cleaning and repair offered as part of its fully outsourced container rental solution.

Eriez adds product manager
Eriez has promoted John Klinge to product manager-metal detection. Klinge will report to Jeff Kaveney, manager of product marketing. Klinge joined Eriez in 2008, previously serving as a technical sales representative. In his new role, Klinge will oversee metal detection inquiries, orders, product development and improvements, marketing, training and sales forecasts.

Emerson Bearing launches packaging & food processing division
Emerson Bearing, a Boston-based bearing company catering to OEM and maintenance, repair and operations markets throughout the U.S., has announced a new division to specifically cater to packaging and food processing customers. The division is led by Lee Holt, an industry solutions expert at Emerson Bearing.

NACD names new president
The National Association of Container Distributors (NACD)has named a new president for the term starting 2010 and ending 2012. NACD's new president is Mark Giesen, president and CEO of Continental Packaging Solutions. He has served as president of Continental Packaging Solutions since December of 1995, and became the company's CEO in 2002. Previous positions include: executive vp and COO; vp.of sales; vp.of corporate partnerships; and director of the customer resource network.
