Interphex inspires pharmaceutical industry insiders
Packaging education and solutions for pharmaceutical manufacturers is a significant part of the upcoming Interphex 2015 show.

Interphex, the International Pharmaceutical Expo, will return to New York City this spring with exhibits and educational opportunities for pharma/biopharma development and manufacturing professionals, as well as their peers in pharmaceutical packaging. Sponsored by the Parenteral Drug Association (PDA), the show will be held Apr. 21-23, 2015, at Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.

According the show’s planners, more than 12,000 professionals from 48 countries and some 600 suppliers will gather for Interphex 2015. The event space will cover 300,000 square feet.

State-of-the art technologies, equipment and products for developing, manufacturing and packaging drugs and devices will be featured in the exhibit hall and in education sessions and workshops.

Launching at this year’s show, the Interphex Exhibitor Awards program will recognize exhibitors for showcasing innovative technologies, solutions, services and strategies relevant to the industry. The award categories are Best in Show, Honorable Mention, Best in Green Technology and Best New Product/Service.

Interphex and its media sponsor, Pharmaceutical Processing, are producing the awards program. Winning exhibitors will be announced at the show on Apr. 21, 2015.

Also new this year is “Interphex Live,” a technology-focused, three-day live event that will be broadcast throughout the show floor. Incorporating reviews, interviews, panel discussions and presentations—including some focused on packaging—the show will be recorded for on-demand web viewing, post-show.

Packaging suppliers that serve the pharmaceutical industry will be exhibiting at Interphex, presenting solutions for inspection and serialization, carton printing, vial filling, capping/stoppering, tablet counting, syringe filling, clean room packaging and much more.

The show’s packaging-related education sessions will include:

• “Pharmaceutical Packaging, Powders, Particulates—Current Trends, New Paradigms”

• “Particles Causing End of Line Rejects and Drug Product Recalls: Overcoming Packaging Challenges and Need for Adequate Controls”

• “Implementing New Packaging Integrity Testing Guidelines”

• “Assuring Product Quality: Vision Systems and In-line Weight/Sort”

Free registration for the Interphex exhibit hall is available to attendees who register online prior to Apr. 14, 2015. Onsite exhibit-hall registration is $75.
