Dordan Manufacturing algae-based thermoform tray

Dordan Manufacturing is showcasing a broad range of thermoform products and solutions in its booth, including the first prototype sample of algae-based plastic (developed in partnership with Algix). As reported in PlasticsToday, Algix (collaborating with the University of Georgia and using technology licensed from Kimberly-Clark) is looking to commercialize cultivation of algae and other aquatic biomass as a bioplastic feedstock material.

In addition to working on innovative new materials, the team at Dordan works with packaging clients to create an array of custom thermoform packaging products, including blisters, clamshells, trays, reusable packaging, point-of-purcahse displays, and more.
