Breckenridge Brewery teams with Rexam for Avalanche Ale cans

148498-avalanche_ale_rexam_v2.jpgTargeting craft beer drinkers and outdoor enthusiasts alike, Breckenridge Brewery recently introduced Avalanche Ale in 12 oz. aluminum cans from Rexam in the Colorado market.

The craft brewery is known for their distinctive handcrafted beers that satisfy the thirsts of discerning beer drinkers. Avalanche Ale's refreshing, yet flavorful combination of pale and caramel malts helps make it the top draw in the brewer's line-up.

Previously available in glass and plastic bottles, Breckenridge Brewery partnered with Gamer Packaging Inc. to extend its packaging lineup to include Rexam cans. The company chose aluminum cans because they are the most recycled beverage package in the world and are easily portable.

"Whether its boating, camping or concert-going, we put Avalanche Ale in cans so that our customers could take their favorite brew with them wherever they go," said Todd Usry, Brewery Director, Breckenridge Brewery. "The response so far has been tremendous. Retailers and customers alike tell us the quality, eye-catching graphics and design of the cans really make them stand out on store shelves. We are extremely pleased with the end result of the can from Rexam and see a real future for our craft beers in cans."

"We are pleased to have the opportunity to help Breckenridge Brewery bring their top-quality craft beer to market in aluminum cans," said Andre Balbi, president and CEO, Rexam Beverage Can Americas. "Our 12 oz. can is the perfect solution to help extend the reach of their brand and help build their bottom line."

Rexam's Graphic Art and Printing Plate Operation in Elk Grove, IL, set the color and graphic tolerances for perfect reproduction of the Avalanche Ale brand on aluminum cans. Rexam has the only company-owned, integrated graphic art and printing plate operation, complete with a manufacturing pilot line, to set these standards confidentially with customers, before mass production.
