Glue Dots launches recycled and recyclable packaging

Glue Dots Intl., New Berlin, WI, is rolling out
new eco friendly packaging that employs Rock-Tenn coated recycled board made of 100-percent-recycled fiber that contains about 35 percent post-consumer waste. The new green packaging is also recyclable and is recognized as being the most recovered packaging material in the U.S. The Rock-Tenn board requires 70 percent less total energy to produce than other packaging materials Glue Dots found.
"We also considered the entire manufacturing process of the new packaging and were pleased to learn that it requires 90% less water to produce than similar products, which means 90% less effluent water discharged at the end of the process.
Included in the roll-product line are 1 Glue Lines®, Continuous Glue Lines®, Pop Up Glue Dots®, Removable Glue Dots®, Memory Book Glue Dots®, Mini Glue Dots® and Craft Glue Dots®.
Bev Arrowood, global sales and marketing director of Glue Dots' Consumer Products Div., says the company's adoption of recycled/recyclable packing is yet another step Glue Dots International has taken toward providing safe and eco friendly products. The easy-to-use pressure sensitive products.
