Sustainability in Packaging 2012 event to focus on supply chain innovations

Registration is open for Sustainability in Packaging 2012: March 12-14, 2012, in Orlando, FL. Now in its sixth year, the event will focus in 2012 on Driving Innovation through the Supply Chain. It's held in association with Packaging Digest and Pharmaceutical & Medical Packaging News.

At the 2012 conference and exhibition, key players will discuss how ideas can be moved forward from packaging companies to brands to retailers and how to communicate the sustainability of the packaging on to the consumer.

Programs like the Global Packaging Project and the numerous other tools available provide a variety of data that is sometimes hard to quantify. Attendees will hear how to choose the correct tools for their companies and receive clarity as to what these tools can achieve and when can and cannot be used.

Plus, you'll hear from major brands how they partner together to turn projects into reality.

The 2012 Sustainability in Packaging Advisory Board consists of:
•John Kalkowski, editorial director, Packaging Digest
•Alan Blake, associate director, corporate packaging development sustainability, P&G
•Ricardo Ruiz de Gopegui, director, packaging R&D, PepsiCo
•Erin Simon, program manager, WWF
•Laura Rowell, director of sustainable packaging, Sonoco Packaging
•Kelly Scott, packaging working group coordinator, Sustainability Consortium

Last year's conference brought together nearly 300 packaging professionals to learn from more than 50 leading companies about all aspects of sustainability, from materials, design, supply chain challenges, marketing messages, consumer demand and other drivers of sustainable innovation to strategic vision of how sustainability fits with a company's overall image and where to go next.
