Dannette Casper is currently a Principal Package Engineer in the Surgical Division of Edwards Lifesciences, working on packaging for heart valves and other heart-related devices.

Her career has spanned 30 years, starting with consumer packaging at 3M (Post-it Notes), as a packaging instructor at University of Wisconsin-Stout, and in medical packaging at 3M, Olympus, and Edwards.

Casper is a co-leader for the Institute of Packaging Professionals’ Medical Device Packaging Technical Committee’s (MDPTC) Medical Device Fundamentals class, and an acting member for the MDPTC board, as membership chair. Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote: “To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived — that is to have succeeded.

This is the definition of life and why we love medical packaging!
